BGB WIN EMPLOYER OF THE YEAR 2006
Hosted by LSC East Midlands (Learning Skills Council), the first East Midlands Real Success Apprenticeships Awards 2006 were held at The Walkers Stadium, Leicester on Thursday 17th March 06. BGB Engineering Ltd were nominated for the Employer of the Year Award (50-249 employees). Up against stiff competition, BGB successfully won the Employer of the Year Award for Lincolnshire & Rutland.
The Employer of the Year Award seeks to acknowledge and celebrate employers' commitment to developing young people through Apprenticeships. The judges look for applicants that showcase the benefits to be gained from a commitment to Work-based Learning to young people. In particular they are looking for commitment, business benefits, best practice and transferability.

Bill Hemingway - Quality and Environmental Manager (pictured - wearing the yellow tie) received the Award on behalf of BGB Innovation, "It was a proud moment for me to receive this award for the Company. The award encapsulates all the hard work and commitment of everybody at BGB."

BGB Managing Director - David T Holt remarked, "We constantly strive to give our employees the best training, a nice environment and the greatest rewards possible. One of our main successes has been through empowering the workforce, meaning each team owns their part of the Company. This gives them a sense of ownership and a will for the company to succeed.
We are proud to be in the company of such businesses as JCB and Rolls-Royce. We are very honoured and pleased that our efforts to become the best has been rewarded."
