BGB REVEAL NEW OPTILINC SYSTEM AT THE HUSUM WIND TRADE SHOW

BGB Engineering Ltd recently unveiled the new Optilinc system at the highly successful Husum Wind Energy Trade Fair.

Optilinc is the first of the new generation of contactless slip rings to be produced by BGB Engineering Ltd. The fibre optic rotary joint is ideal for high speed data-transfer on many applications. 

Constructed in stainless steel, Optilinc has exceptional durability protecting the unit from dust and water ingress to IP65 and not influenced by vibration, humidity, heat, magnetism or other typical slip ring disturbances. 

Optilinc has been developed thoroughly in BGB's R&D Lab and is now being implemented in the design stage of leading wind turbine manufacturers. BGB have invested heavily in the new system and have worked in conjunction with one of the UKs leading optical Physicist to develop a highly innovative fibre optic rotary joint.

Although not overly publicised at the Husum show, BGB enjoyed huge success with Optilinc from word of mouth and visitors taking an interest on the stand. "It was great to see so many of the worlds top wind turbine manufacturers leaving the stand talking about the unit and showing such a great interest in Optilinc." Said Mark Chappell - BGBs R&D Manager. "Optilinc is set to take the fibre optic rotary joint market by storm!"
